We are seeking an experienced Partner with a proven track record in fundraising to join our team as a key leader and part owner in the company and its managed funds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fundraising Leadership:
Develop and execute fundraising strategies to secure capital from institutional investors, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals. Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective investors. - Investment Strategy:
Identify, evaluate, and execute investment opportunities in non-correlated alternative assets. Develop and oversee strategies that align with the firm’s vision and deliver consistent returns. - Ownership Role:
Act as a part-owner of Bjork Capital Management LLC and its funds, driving strategic decision-making and contributing to the firm’s long-term success and growth. - Portfolio Management:
Oversee portfolio construction, ensuring proper risk management and performance optimization. Monitor and report on portfolio performance to stakeholders. - Market Development:
Identify and explore emerging markets and trends in non-correlated alternative assets to position the firm as a leader in innovative investment strategies. - Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with internal teams to refine investment strategies and marketing efforts. Provide mentorship to junior team members to foster professional growth and innovation.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in fundraising for investment funds, with a strong network of institutional and private investors.
- Deep understanding of non-correlated alternative assets, including niche markets like fine wine, sports, or other emerging asset classes.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build lasting investor relationships.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess opportunities, manage risks, and optimize portfolio performance.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to contribute to the growth and ownership of the firm.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field (MBA or CFA preferred).
- Series 7, 66 or 63 is a bonus.
